Interim Pastor Q&A

Q. Why do we have an Interim Pastor?
A. An Interim Pastor can provide stability in the absence of a Senior Pastor. With an Interim Pastor, you will have the same preacher every Sunday during the “in-between time.”
Q. Why is an Interim Pastor important?
A. Sunday mornings tend to be the time when the congregation is in corporate worship all together to create unity. Unity is highly important for the church members to remain
while the pastor search is in progress.
Q. What does the Interim Pastor provide?
A. Leadership to the staff and church in general; a person members can call on during a
crisis.
Q. Can the Interim Pastor become our Pastor if we like the way he is leading the church?
A. In most cases, an Interim Pastor is not the one that will be the permanent Pastor. He is there to be the leader and Pastor and to help with the unity of the church.
Q. How long will the Interim Pastor be our Pastor?
A. The timeframe varies based on the resumes received by the ministry partner reviewing candidates based on our church profile. A 6 to 18-month transition time is typical for churches looking for a Senior Pastor. Sometimes the location can cause a delay, or the pay package, or school calendar. In the end, it is God’s timing when the next Pastor will be on the field at LIFEchurch.
Q. Can I call/text the Interim Pastor if I have questions?
A. YES! Call the church office and the administrator will give you his cell phone number.
